Core Programs

Faced with the progressively destructive impact of HIV/AIDS on individual well-being and society morale, the Lazarus Foundation will pursue its mission to bridge the healthcare divide between developed and developing nations through its core programs:

1. Global Initiatives Program
The Lazarus Foundation will assist countries with a high prevalence of HIV/AIDS, by developing effective education, prevention, and treatment strategies.

2. Frontlines Program
The Lazarus Foundation will fund the treatment of healthcare personnel who are inadvertently exposed to HIV-infected body fluids. The thrust of this post exposure prophylaxis program would be in those developing countries with high infection rates and poorly funded HIV-post prophylaxis programs.

3. Positive Cradles Program
The Lazarus Foundation will assist with intervention approaches in an attempt to reduce maternal-fetal transmission of HIV/AIDS. The foundation will also fund and support rehabilitation programs and the care of HIV/AIDS orphaned children.

4. Health Bytes Program
The Lazarus Foundation will provide updated HIV/AIDS information via the support of websites as part of an overall knowledge network.

5. Lazarus Wells Program
Water and sanitation play an enormous role in the prevention, care and mitigation activities in HIV/AIDS affected communities. The Lazarus foundation will assist with intervention approaches in an attempt to increase access to clean, safe drinking water while reducing the occurrence of opportunistic infections.
